Story
Lyla is a strong premie, who was born at 33 weeks due to low scores on multiple biophysical exams.
Due to the nature of the premature birth - our one income household is facing struggles with being able to pay for our bills. Lyla is currently located in a NICU an hour away from home and my husband's job does not offer paternity leave pay, which puts us in a bind of a situation involving rent.
We're faced with the difficult decision to either have my husband continue working 12 hour shifts, 5 days a week; Or have him take his paternity so we can stay with our daughter in the NICU. No parent should have to decide between the two options. We are asking for help to pay our rent while our daughter is hospitalized so we can provide adequate care and bonding for our family. Thank you.
