Story
Hello, my name is Salym and I am a wife and mother of 4. My husband and I uprooted our little family and moved to Texas to be closer to our extended family. Shortly after moving, I began to have difficulties walking. After many doctors visits and testing, I was diagnosed with ALS. I was supplementing our families income by doing eyelash extensions, but with the diagnosis and progression of ALS, my arms and hands have become too weak to hold up for an extended period of time. This was a difficult change for our family because my husbands new job was starting him at half of what he was previously earning. With all of our doctors visits, medications, wheelchairs, and home modifications that have needed to be done so I could do simple things like use the restroom or get into my kids rooms to help them get ready for school, our finances have become very thin.
Any amount of help makes a huge difference and relieves some of the stress that my husband and I feel. Thank you very much.
