Story
To whom this may concern,
My name is Cindy Ramos, I'm 35 years old and live in Nampa, ID. I was diagnosed with a rare cancer in February 2020 right when covid started. I had to travel to Seattle, WA for surgeries and treatment since I needed a group of specialists that we did not have in Idaho. I was very Scared and overwhelmed since I could not have anyone in the hospital with me during all these procedures because of covid. I was in WA for weeks by myself not only because of covid but because my husband had to stay in work to keep us afloat. I was cancer free for a whole year. After, the cancer came back in my lungs automatically putting me in stage 4 no possible way for a cure. I was put on Palliative care. As my doctor puts it "Buying me time until the next best medication comes out". Very hard pill to swallow. Since then, I have had multiple surgeries, Chemo treatments, and Radiations. Most recently a biopsy to see what is Driving my cancer to grow. Crossing my fingers it opens up new doors to medication to prolong my life. I don't lose hope for a miracle or a cure. Lastly, as you can see, we have had massive debit in medical travel and lodging expenses. Putting us out on our mortgage and utility bills. Lately, it has been very hard to put groceries on the table. My husband is the only one working at the time. I had to stop working since I started getting treatments, I'm unreliable to work. Something I would have never thought I would say, for I religiously never took time off of work. I hope you can find it in your heart to give us a helping hand.
Thank you for your time!
Cindy Ramos
