The Peek Family

Hello my name is Theresia Peek. I am a single mom to a 15 year old boy and currently living with my mother due to having no income and to help assist here since she has been diagnosed with lung cancer and has had to deal with other major health set backs. Back in March of 2019, I got into a car accident and I ran into 2 cows in the middle of the road. Obviously my car was totaled and it did quite a bit of damage to me mentally and physically.I am under a specialist care for my spine for my back and my neck. And I am also under a specialist care for my left hand. I have went through numerous rounds of physical therapy, and have had a total of 8 cortisone shots to my neck and back and left hand. I have had surgery on my left hand to try to put back in place but unfortunately it keep slipping out of socket so they are wanting to basically dislocate my left hand again and redo the surgery and fuse my joints together.I am still awaiting to have back surgery and also neck surgery.Since my accident I had to deal with some passing out episodes due to pressure in my spine. So I still have a long road ahead of me. Yes I have applied for social security and disability and yet I still awake to get any type of confirmation. My employment status categorize as FMLA but unpaid due to not being at my employment long enough prior to my accident. I have obtained an attorney which I'm not quite sure it really has helped me out much but I am in hope that I get a decent settlement. So since my accident in March of 2019 I have had no source of income what so ever. And I do not receive any kind of child support. So graciously my mother has supported me and my son out of her social security and slight pension of less than $12,000 a month. We have continuously struggled  to keep a roof over our head and to pay our utility bills. But to make things even worse about a month ago on our way back from my mother's radiation appointment out car overheated on the side of the interstate. Well they ended up totaling my mother's car out. And yes she only had liability so we were strapped and forced to try to find a different vehicle on our own. Lord willing we came across a vehicle for $1,000 and not even two days later before we even got it all legalized but did once again only  haven liability insurance got vandalized by my ex. It has been 5 years now  but yet will not leave us alone even having a restraining order on him. He ended up slashing all four tires and busting every single window in the vehicle. So yet once again we are left with no vehicle to get back and forth to doctors appointments for my mother or I. I am making this net wish to see if I can get any type of assistant to help pay for our vehicle to get fixed and to help support our household.
