Story
Hi everyone. Jazmin was born at 32 weeks via emergency cesarean due to me (her mother) having severe preeclampsia, type one diabetes, and a non-reasuring non-stress test. After delivery, Jazmin was immediately taken to the NICU where doctors and nurses put her on a c-pap, belly light, and inserted a PICC line as well as other IVs. During the long NICU stay Jazmin was not tolerating formula well which led to a diagnosis of MSPI. She was also diagnosed with late onset clinical sepsis, pneumonia, and SVT after many labs, x-rays, and ultrasounds were performed.
On August 19th, Jazmin was discharged from the NICU with an apnea monitor and a holter monitor. She wears her apnea monitor 24/7 as it detects high and low hear rates as well as when she stops breathing. Due to the long NICU stay, labs, ultrasounds, x-rays, medications, and doctor visits, we are now in need of financial assistance. If you could please donate our family would be delighted and appreciate it greatly. Thank you for taking the time to read about our little Jazzy Jazz and your assistance. Love, the Mendez family
