The Marsolek Family
Our Story
I am a very hard working father of two that is going through a brutal divorce and has had to alter his career to be closer to my daughters schedule. I took a major pay cut to work hours that were supportive of my kids and work side jobs to supplement the missing income. Through the divorce process my lawyers volunteered the family home I bought and paid for so my ex wife could live there, and in the process I would stay with a family member. My temporary place of living has ended as the divorce is taking longer than originally projected and I am currently homeless. In the middle of all of this I suffered a broken bone and tendon damage in my hand that has taken me out of being able to work. I am a mechanic and they offer no light duty options and are going to terminate my employment before I am able to recover from this injury. This has been very detrimental to providing support for my kids and the current situation not to mention any possibility of having a proper living situation for me and my kids. I have tried to keep working side work as a delivery driver of food as I cannot do side work as a mechanic either. But I am finding it difficult to perform this side work with any efficiency with this current damage to my hand. This has put me in a depressive funk as I feel I have failed my kids.
