Makayla is a 12 year old girl who was born with Tetralogy of Fallot. She has battled cardiac and pulmonary issues her entire young life. Just recently it was discovered that she is also battling something autoimmune. She now has vitiligo and bouts of episcleritis among other things. We also found out she needs valve replacement surgery but she can't have that until all her other disorders are under control. She fights everyday with a smile on her face and the strength and spirit of a warrior.

We continue to fight

Not a good day, Makaylas insurance has denied our claim for updated testing. We will of course appeal, but the cardiologist can't move forward until they know she is strong enough. The road is long but she is a fighter.

We continue to fight

Well on a good note they have found nothing wrong with Makayla in the Rheumatology department. However the Endocrinologist is running a second set of tests because of all the abnormalities in her blood and urine. She is a fighter , but I can tell my lil girl is tired of being poked. We will keep you all updated with results.
