The Malecha Family
Our Story
Hi everyone, sharing an update on behalf of Abby and Josh as they navigate some big changes. Over the past few weeks, they’ve had to make some incredibly difficult decisions. With Abby unable to work full-time, she is losing her job and healthcare. As a result, they are selling their home and moving into an apartment, which they were thankfully able to secure quickly.
Thank you for your continued support, whether it’s through donations, sharing Abby’s gofundme, or simply sending words of encouragement. Your kindness is making a huge difference in their journey. We appreciate you.
January 24th, 2025 A Tough Day, But Still Fighting by Abby Malecha
Hi everyone, Today has been one of those challenging days where the weight of this journey really hit home. I received news from my employer that they will no longer cover their portion of my health insurance unless I return to work full-time. Unfortunately, working full-time just isn’t possible with my treatment schedule and the toll this cancer has taken on my body.
This means my family and I will have to pay $3,000 a month out of pocket for health insurance, which is essential to continue my medical care. On top of that, we’ve had to make the heartbreaking decision to sell our home and move into a smaller apartment to manage expenses. It’s overwhelming to face these challenges all at once, but I’m staying focused on moving forward, even in the hardest moments.
I’m asking for your help, not only through donations, but by sharing this fundraiser with as many people as possible. Sharing my story can help us reach others who might be able to contribute and make a difference in this critical time. Thank you so much for standing with me through this journey.
