Hello, my name is Michael Lothert. We bought a house in January 2021, then diagnosed with kidney cancer two months later in March. l had to have a kidney removed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. We had to get loans for a new furnace, as our old one was releasing carbon monoxide it was unsafe, and then another loan for replacement windows as they were leaking and festered with mold; And lastly, another loan for a new car because it was cheaper to buy a new one than a used car and making the repairs on the truck we had. I had to go back to work part-time as we needed the money for all the expenses and loans
Our nephew lives with us in our one-level house. My wife receives Social Security, and we cannot afford the updates needed for our house, like a new roof, flooring, garage door, insulation for the attic, and a ramp. We have co-pays for doctor’s visits, medications, and blood tests. and x-rays my wife will have to have surgery on her knee I tried infusion, and 3 different cancer pills but they gave me side effects and stopped working. Now I have a tumor in my ribcage, which they will be removing to relieve the pressure it’s putting on my spine., but I will not be able to work after the surgery for quite some time. or never
