Story
On November 16th Nick went in to get a CAT scan, later that evening he got the terrifying news that they discovered a tumor. After more appointments and MRI's the neurosurgeons and neurologists determined that the tumor is a vestibular schwannoma.
They also determined that the tumor is extremely huge (5cm) and where it is located is creating a blockage of the cerebrospinal fluid-draining pathways in the brain which has lead to hydrocephalus. Due to this, Nick had to have a shunt put in place in order to drain the fluid in preparation for surgery to remove the tumor. On Feb 22nd after about an 8 hour surgery they were able to remove a large portion of the tumor, due to the long surgery, recovery has been a very slow and arduous ordeal. All donations will go towards covering the medical costs as well as living expenses and providing for our 6-year-old twins. This has been a devastating and shocking blow and doesn't feel like real life.
Any help is appreciated more than I can even articulate. Thank you.
