Story
Hi, my name is Wenona, and I am the parent of a beautiful 15 year old daughter. I've been diagnosed with cancer twice within one year, the second time was much more serious than the first, greatly affecting my quality of life, ability to work, but I do not give up easily. God's been so good to me!
I'm going through chemo and radiation both together, and this has brought on some challenges for me as far as feeling well enough to work full time, as I was before I was ill. As a result, I've had concerns about how I will stay current on my rent, pay storage fees, other bills such as electric and phone. I've taken what I can to try to pay a month in advance, but it's tough because like so many others, live paycheck to paycheck.
You never know how long or severe the side effects of the chemo and radiation will last. It affects your ability to work on top of all other stressors. I have to say, my boss & coworkers at Panera Bread (Mall of America) have been the best in supporting me! They have been very understanding and working around my very hectic schedule and all of my doctor appointments. I couldn't ask to work for or with a better group of people!
Thank you for reading my story, I'm thankful and appreciative of every single one of you. God bless all of you in your lives!
Respectfully with love, Wenona Kuhrman
