In 2019, shortly after Hallie’s 1st birthday she was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer. Stage 3 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. Hallie went through 42 weeks of frontline chemotherapy, radiation and a surgical resection of her tumor that was right off her lower spine. She then went on to complete maintenance chemotherapy. Unfortunately, just a few short months off treatment, we were faced with our biggest fear. Hallie has relapsed. This time in her pelvic bone and knee cap. We again went through chemotherapy and radiation. This time surgery is not an option. Hallie is currently taking a daily chemo pill, but unfortunately she is the first patient her oncologist has tried this on so we have no known answers with this trial.
