Back in sept 2023 AJ was sick, after seeing a few different docs we found out he was in heart failure. Was admitted to the hospital Sept 27, 2023. Was on life support for over a month. Had to relearn to live and is now connected to a machine called an ikius which pumps his heart til he receives a new donor heart. Til then he is attached to this machine which is plugged in for 6 hours and then can unplug for 30 min each day.
