We are the Johnson family from San Diego, CA, and we are facing one of the most challenging periods of our lives. We’re reaching out for help and hope during this time of incredible difficulty.

Recently, I had to undergo gallbladder removal surgery, which I thought would be a routine procedure. However, complications arose, leading to a five-day hospital stay. Just as I was beginning to recover, severe pain and fluid buildup sent me back to the hospital for another three days. This unexpected medical crisis has been both physically and financially devastating.

What makes this even harder is that I am currently in an inpatient rehab program for substance use and mental health. This program is critical to my recovery, and I am committed to completing the 90-day treatment. However, being in rehab means I am unable to work, and I did not anticipate the extra expenses this medical emergency would bring.

One of our immediate concerns is making the payment on our truck. The truck is essential for my family—it’s used to transport my children, attend appointments, and manage everyday life. Losing it would be another devastating blow during a time when we’re already trying to rebuild our lives.

We are humbly asking for your support to help us raise $2,500 to put towards the remaining balance of our car loan and give us some breathing room for the next 6 months as we face these overwhelming challenges.
