Hi My name is Kenshika, I'm a 38 year old mother of one son and caregiver to my mentally ill brother Ronald whom I gained custody after my mom passed in 2018 of Lung Cancer. I'm currently enrolled At Southern University of Shreveport nursing program I'm also a Fulltime Lead Medical Assistant at Depaul Community Health Clinic. I recently had a bad fall and unfortunatly fractured my Plateau tibia bone which caused me to be out of work over a extended period of time to heal I'm currently on STD - Short Term Disability $480 a week which is half of my salary broken down and my brother receives his disability. Being that I'm the Primary worker bills are depending on me t pay them. However with the cut in pay its a bit of a struggle. Rent is $1900 a month Car note and insurance just one to 3 months of help can set us up to be able to save and also have the necessities needed.
