Hello Everyone,  I am reaching out in one of the most difficult times of my life, asking for help as my family faces an overwhelming challenge.  

On January 29, 2025, our beautiful baby girl Ka’laya was born prematurely due to pre-eclampsia, a serious pregnancy complication. At birth, she struggled to maintain her body temperature, had labored breathing that affected her oxygen levels, and experienced weight loss from 5.47 lbs to 4.13 lbs. She was immediately admitted to the NICU, where she remains on a feeding tube, fighting to grow stronger.  

In addition to Ka’laya’s fragile condition, our one-year-old son, De’jonte Hodges Jr. (born 2/16/2024),  has been battling complications from a serious heart defect, just weeks before I had to undergo an emergency C-section, De’jonte had  heart surgery, and we have been taking him to frequent medical appointments ever since.  

With both of our babies requiring extensive medical care, our family has been hit with overwhelming financial burdens. The constant travel to and from the hospital, missed work, and loss of income have left us struggling to cover basic necessities, including housing. We have now received an eviction notice, and without urgent help, we may lose our home while our babies still need medical care.  

We are asking for any amount of assistance to help with:  
❤️ Transportation to and from the hospital  
❤️ Covering rent and preventing eviction  
❤️ Daily expenses for our family during this crisis
