Our beautiful son Elio was born prematurely at 31 weeks and 4 days due to pregnancy related conditions and has been in the NICU. Elio was born on August 29th and has been currently residing in the NICU since birth to provide assistance with his premature health conditions. My partner had suffered from a severe case of Preclampsia and required our son to come early. Our son was born 2 lbs and 3 oz and was 13.75" long. We have been very thankful and blessed that he is safe and is in good hands, however financially we have began to struggle. With having to commute from work back and forth from our jobs in Yankton to Sioux Falls several times a week, it has caused financial strain on us and we are looking for assistance to be able to continue to see our son and be there as much as we possibly can while he continues his NICU stay.
