Story
James (or Jimmy as known by his family) has been diagnosed with stage four pulmonary adenocarcinoma (lung cancer) which has recently metastasized to his brain. He is the sole supporter for himself (he is divorced with three children, two adult children and a 13-year-old daughter who lives with her mom). Due to his illness and the treatments, he is unable to return to work as an electrician, a job he truly loves. Jimmy received his initial diagnosis in late March 2024. He is now on chemotherapy/immunotherapy every three weeks for the foreseeable future. He will start radiation treatments next week as well. His cancer is incurable but treatable, and we pray for remission. Before becoming an electrician, Jimmy spent seven years in the US Coast Guard. He had many different duties including being a chef on a boat at sea for three years. Needless to say, Jimmy is a great cook and a wonderful father. He would love nothing more than to have complete remission so that he can return to his job and love on and cook for his family. In the meantime, he needs some support. With no income currently his funds are very limited. He's applied for benefits with the military and Social Security, but those take time. Jimmy has monthly expenses and now the added medical expenses to cover. He would appreciate any help (and prayers) you can provide.
