Our Story

Hello,We are the Fraziers. Our son, Patrick was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a bone cancer, in Dec 2017 when he was 17 years old. He was in his senior year of HS, and had just made the varsity hockey team. He started treatment immediately and missed out on his entire hockey season, and most of his senior year. His mom quit both of her jobs to be his full time care taker. He is admitted into the hospital every other week for either five days or two days. His mom stays with him full time. He was supposed to be starting college this fall, but he is still in treatment. It has been life altering, and there is no way one can prepare for this. He has a loving younger sister who has also given up a lot for our family. Cancer is a thief and has taken so much from him. He has put on a brave face through every chemo session, radiation session and surgery to remove his femur and his knee. He is funny, kind and so loving. We are looking forward to better days ahead.Thank you.

My Heart Broke on This Day

No words. Pure emotion.

Radiation

This was Patrick ringing the bell on his final radiation treatments. A total of 27 radiation treatments to two lymph nodes. At the same time he was doing chemotherapy.

Chemo

I can’t imagine how he feels. just walking into the hospital to do chemo makes him throw up. Knowing he’s going to be sick in just a few hours for the next five days is more than his mind can handle. Getting him to the hospital for chemo is devastating . My son should be going off to college with all of his friends but instead he’s going to be spending the next five days in the hospital doing chemo to fight his cancer.
