Hi, We are the Carter Family. Christopher, Kendra, Effy (7) and Ezlynn (3 weeks). November 30th, 2018 our lives changed forever with the addition of Ezlynn who was born 3 months early at 28 weeks. Her mom's placenta grew a non cancerous tumor where it was taking the blood flow and oxygen away from Ezlynn. Ezlynn became anemic so we tried a blood fusion to her to see if that would help. It didn't and the tumor grew 2 centimeters. Ezlynn was getting worst so we did an emergency-c section and everything went great with the amazing care of Avera Staff. When the placenta came out the tumor was the size of a baseball. Ezlynn weighed 2'.11" and 14.5" long. Mom and Ezlynn are doing great but just a long road for Ezlynn to grow. Mom is with Baby and I am at home working to try and keep ends met and visiting from Pierre SD there on Weekends.
