Hello,  my name is Tonya.  At 26 I had a severe brain stem stroke (4 strokes at once). I survived and celebrated my 23rd year stroke free this year.

All was going well until,  March 31, 2024. I was jaundice and admitted to the hospital.  On April 5th we received the news I am positive for Pancreatic Cancer.  Changed our lives!! From then I have not worked.  My oncologist says having cancer IS a full-time job.  He wasn't kidding!! I had appointments daily,  definitely weekly then add in chemo every other week. Finally my WHIPPLE surgery on Nov 7. At this current time I am considered NED (no evidence of disease). Of course as some may have know you have the most doctor/ hospital bills during the first few years of being diagnosed. 

To top all this off, my husband and I uprooted our home & lifestyles last year to be 24 hour caregivers to be in a different city caring for his father who is/was (he graduated) in hospice.
