Hello, thank you for being here! I would like to apply for rental assistance. I left my abusive partner and lost my job of nearly 11 years this past spring. Due to COIVID-19 my position was eliminated, I was offered a severance package with my employer for 6 months, ending on 10/29/2021. During this time I was able to secure housing for myself and two therapy kittens. I have a PTSD, respiratory disease, skin cancer and no support from family and friends, I am completely isolated from society. Last week I was  admitted to the critical care pulmonary unit at Mission Hospital for 7 days uninsured. I am working with HelpMate, a family service center for domestic abuse victims. They informed me of potential services with rent and utilities, this is my first time ever applying for assistance or not working in the past 25+ years. I have filed for unemployment as it was denied while I was receiving severance. If it is granted the amount will barely cover food. I am growing more desperate by the day and am concerned with medicine as electricity is required. I am applying daily for jobs within my career field and outside, I had 3 interviews but no offers yet. I am willing to work any job/shift starting immediately. Thank you
