The Back Family

Hello!! I am a mother to 4 wonderful children. 3 beautiful girls and 1 handsome boy. On February 9th, 2020 we moved into our first house. We used to be in public housing. After we moved in, I realized it was a huge mistake! It had quickly become living in a house of horror. So many hidden flaws that I hadn't seen. Black mold, bed bugs, rats, racoons, rotted holes in the floor hidden by carpet that hadn't even been laid down properly, exposed wires outside in the back that get rained on and cause short outs, lights constantly flickering, the toilet and sink both stopped working, and the list just keeps going. We had an Emotional Support Animal -- an American Akita. He would've been 3 years old come November 19th, 2020. He died April 1st, 2020. Just 1 month after moving in!! My children have been traumatized by their experience there. Bed bugs haunt them, any thing they hear that they don't see? They think are rats or racoons! My kids had never been subjected to such a life!! They are alright health wise -- but emotionally and mentally scarred. I contacted the the city and building and zoning many times. They condemned the house because the landlord refused to fix anything. To even get rid of any of the infestations. Not even the black mold!! 

I am almost 30 years old. I will be 30 years old in January, on the 29th. I have always been healthy. Always been able to drive and be alone. Never having to rely on any one or anything. But now, I have started having seizures and have been diagnosed with Epilepsy. I believe the house has caused my health issues to happen. I am now unable to be alone, I can not drive, I can not be around sharp corners or even take a bath. Because of all of this sudden change to my health and the effect it has caused my family, I am now unable to do much physically to help my own self financially. So I find myself here, seeking help for my children and I. Just so that I can get back on my feet. Back to where I once was in life for my family.
