The Siers Family
Our Story
Life has a funny way of keeping us all on our toes doesn't it? Having a growing family can be one of the most exciting moments of a parent's life, however, it can also be one of the scariest. My name is Jordan and I am currently 22 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I have two wonderful boys at home along with a very loving and supportive husband. When we found out we were finally pregnant with our baby girl, our spirits were on cloud 9. After being boy parents for so long, we were over the moon. Unfortunately, despite all of our excitement and good spirits, our little one decided she was going to try to make her appearance in the world way too soon. My water broke at only 22 weeks and 3 days with an unexplainable reason why. This critical situation has placed me almost 4 hours away from home, work and my family. I have been placed from a "normal" pregnancy and shoved into a very high risk pregnancy. Words will never be able to express how emotionally and physically distressing this situation is. I am looking at a very prolonged stay at Avera Mckennan until my daughter is born. Without any financial support, I worry about how I am going to be able to keep our home and lights on along side of providing for my sons and daily life. Which is why I am reaching out to this program to grasp any sort of help for my family in this very trying time. At this time, absolutely anything will help, God bless.
