Every year since 2009, Minnesotans come together for one dedicated day of giving known as “Give to the Max Day.” Each November, on the third Thursday of the month, millions of dollars are raised for nonprofits and schools throughout the state.
Give to the Max Day is a way for Minnesotans to celebrate and give back to the organizations their communities know and love.

If you’re planning to give back for Give to the Max Day, early giving has already begun! Every day leading up to GTMD, each gift you make at GiveMN.org enters you to win money for the causes you support. That means for every donation, you have the opportunity to win a $500 Golden Ticket for your favorite charities!
This year, Give to the Max Day will be held on Thursday, November 17th!
Spare Key has partnered with the Minnesota organizations; Toys for Joy and the Minnesota Mortgage Association (MMA) to host our very own “Toys to the Max Day” presented by NewRez.
Throughout the day of November 17th, participating companies and individuals will be asked to collect as many toys as possible to be split between Spare Key and Toys for Joy! The MMA will also host a Toys to the Max Happy Hour at The Loop West End, welcoming all members and nonmembers to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate!

All toys donated on November 17th will be divided between Spare Key and Toys for Joy to be distributed at each organization's upcoming holiday events! We will use these toys collected to help families this year that need a little more holiday cheer in their lives.
Toys for Joy was founded in 1986 by the Realtors Association. It is their mission to assist families in the greater Anoka County area that are in need during the Holiday season. Every year during distribution, Toys for Joy provides toys and meals to roughly 1,000 families, around 4,000 kids!
Spare Key is once again hosting our annual Cookies With Santa event on Sunday, December 11th! On this day, Spare Key welcomes families in need within the community to enjoy a day celebrating the holiday season. The day is filled with treats, crafts, a photo with Santa Claus, and every child leaves with a toy!
The 2022 Cookies with Santa Event will be held on December 11th from 3-5 pm at Highway Credit Union, 840 Westminster St, St Paul, MN 55130.

The holiday season can be a challenging time for many families, especially those struggling with a medical crisis and trying not to add a financial crisis on top of it all. Some people feel pressure to spend money on the extra costs associated with food, presents, warm clothing items…etc. Spare Key’s Cookies With Santa event invites those in need within our communities to join in on a day when worries and stress can be put on pause as we spend a day together celebrating this holiday season!
